Join us for our one-day Practical Woman workshops to learn DIY essentials from skilled professionals in a supportive environment.

From drilling and flatpack to changing locks and finding your stopcock, we’ll make sure you leave the workshop with the knowledge and confidence you need to have a go yourself at home.

Cost: £40 (full-day workshop including materials)

Pay it forward

Practical Woman is a community interest company and doesn’t make a profit – all funds go directly to the running costs of the project and help us make the workshops accessible to as many women as possible.

If you are happy to make a further optional donation of £10 it will help us to run Practical Woman workshops for vulnerable women who are unable to pay. Donate on JustGiving.

Frequently asked questions

What’s included?

All tools and materials will be provided. Please bring your own lunch. There are cafes and shops nearby in Islington where you can purchase your lunch.

Is the venue accessible?

There is a toilet at the venue, however, unfortunately, it isn’t wheelchair accessible. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Are there minimum age requirements?

These sessions are for women aged 18 or over. We are looking at running an under 18s session soon.
